Limited Lifetime Warrenty
Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. is pleased to offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty on all of our custom window coverings. This warranty applies to the original residential retail purchaser.
Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. warrants that our custom window coverings will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the product, the purchaser has proof of purchase, and the purchaser resides at the location for which the product was purchased – provided that: (i) such product was properly installed according to Builder Direct Blinds specifications, and (ii) such product was made or assembled exclusively from Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. approved vendors, materials, and/or components.
The obligation of Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. and its vendors and/or distributors is limited to repair or replacement of the shades, blinds, shutters, or components found to be defective, and excludes labor costs for measuring and installation. Repairs will be made with like or similar parts. This Limited Lifetime Warranty shall be void if the product is moved from the original location of installation.
This warranty does not cover any damages resulting from accidents, alterations, misuse, abuse, improper installation, motorized devices, acts of God (such as fires, floods, tornadoes, etc.), environmental damage (such as insect damage, exposure to sun, exposure to salt air, exposure to excessive humidity, etc.), or failure to follow printed instructions on cleaning, care, or maintenance. This warranty does not apply to conditions resulting from normal wear and tear (see Wear and Tear Guidelines). Commercial use of all products is also excluded from this warranty.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS, LIABILITIES, OR WARRANTIES. In no event shall Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. or its vendors and/or distributors be liable for incidental or consequential damages, or for any expense associated with such damages. Repair or replacement of defective products is the sole remedy under this warranty and in no event shall Builder Direct Blinds, Inc. be liable for costs to remove or reinstall the product. In some states exclusions for incidental or consequential damages are not allowable; exclusions for incidental or consequential damages as listed in this warranty may not apply in those states.
Wear and Tear Guidelines
Aluminum Blinds: Warranted for ten years against fading, discoloration, or warpage under normal conditions*.
Vertical Blinds: Warranted for three years against fading, discoloration, or warpage under normal conditions*.
Wood Blinds & Wood Shutters: Paint/Stain finish is warranted for five years against cracking, fading, warpage, and chipping under normal conditions*.
Faux/Poli Blinds: Warranted for two years against fading, three years against cracking or warpage under normal conditions*.
Cellular Shades: Warranted for three years on interior cord and cordless lift mechanism.
Cords and Ladders: Normal wear and tear is warranted for five years.
Tilt and Lift mechanisms: Normal wear and tear is warranted for five years.
*Normal conditions are inside home at or near room temperature, no exposure to elevated humidity areas such as bathrooms with showers, etc. Moisture content caused by leaving the windows open, faulty windows that leak, or similar situations cause this warranty to be nullified.
